No matter where you apply for a job in Cyprus, you will have to answer some common interview questions. So, it’s time to know what these job interview questions are and also to prepare answers to those questions. Let’s get started.
1. Do you Mind Introducing Yourself?
Your interview will begin from an introduction. Whether it’s your first interview or you have been in the market for quite some time, you need to prepare an answer that can set a good impression.
Answer: I'm a marketing manager who has been creating leads for my clients by using proven marketing techniques. I don't rest until I bring some results for my clients. I keep myself up to date with new marketing trends to keep up with them and bring fruitful results.
2. What Are Your Weaknesses?
Every recruiter will have a probe through which he will look into you and try to find out your weakness. No one is perfect and don't you think of saying that I have no weakness. Another wrong approach will be to admit mistakes that can affect your performance. If you forget to meet a deadline, it's good but when it's a habit then don't admit it in front of your recruiter. Here you need to be diplomatic in an answer.
Answer: My biggest weakness is to give my teammates a second chance. I don't like to fire people, I try to keep my team together. I turned a blind eye to my team. However, I'm trying to be more managerial.
3. Why Should We Hire You?
Well, it's a question that you need to answer in every job interview. The best answer would be based on a 50/50 approach. So, you will talk about 50 percent of your qualities and 50 percent of how your qualities will be beneficial for the company.

Answers:
- I believe that my skills would help you gain more sales.
- I'm quite interested in this project as I know that with my animation skills, I can build your brand way better than any other person.
- I'm a developer who will always be ready to create something amazing as per your company's need while standing by your side as a support person that you can always trust.
4. What Can You Do for Us That Other Candidates Can't?
This question is meant to see what makes you unique compared to the competition. Employers want someone who will stand out, so be sure they can tell why you are a good fit for them! Don't just say something generic like "I am punctual" or "I work well with others." Instead, make sure your answer is specific and relates to past experiences or skills that may not commonly be found in most employees.
For example, if one of your strengths was working on group projects efficiently, then explain how it led you towards being efficient at communicating/collaborating, which would help benefit this role greatly!
Answer:
I am passionate about your project and I don’t think anyone would be ready to work on this project like I am. It’s because I want to learn from this project, it will be a part of my portfolio- which I want to make amazing for sure.
5. What are three Positive Things your Last Boss would say About You?
This question is tricky because you don't want to sound overconfident but need to show confidence in your abilities. Employers want someone with integrity so try sharing some work-related qualities such as "I was able to stay calm under pressure" or "My boss always complimented my organization skills." Then, finish off by including something that shows appreciation for the company, i.e., adapting quickly/working well with others, etc.
Answer: My boss likes my dedication for work, my leadership and accountability style. He thinks that I can be a good manager.
6. What Are Your Goals?
They are interested in your goals as they look into your foresight. Don't say I have none or don't think of sharing unreasonable goals like I want to become a President or something. Keep it professional.
Answer:
- My career goal is to become a marketing leader who can coin great marketing practices for an industry.
- I want to become a content writer for international magazines.
7. Why Did You Leave (or Why Are You Leaving) Your Job?
If you are currently working somewhere, a recruiter will always ask you for a reason to leave your job and join them. It's the point where you should never make a mistake of bad mouthing your past employer. Don't say "I hated my job" or "My boss was a prick." or "My colleague gaslighted me." Even if it's true, please don't say that.
